Praia da Rosa
Praia da Rosa is a stunning Brazilian bay beach, which attracts surfers from all over
South America. It is also a stop for the Right Whales migration path.
The day I arrived, there was a mother and calf just beyond the surf and from the clif
above they were quite visible and stayed for an hour and half before disappearing.
The next day one whale appesred and put on a display some 150 meters off the
beach. The mother and calf returned the next day around 10 am and put on
quite a display! One fin wave (or is it one finger?), held their tails up out of the
water (I just think that it was mooning us for all the years of whaling)
Al of this happens just beyond the surf.
