Lost City of Copan
The lost city of Copan. I had a good day there. I got in with a
tour group which had a guide; it made the whole thing very
interesting, with good explanations of the site. I I was quite surprised how quickly the jungle takes over the stone buildings. It is a constant battle to keep it all back. I have driven down to the southern end of Honduras to cross into Nicaragua in the morning. The drive down was fantastic. I cannot believe how dry the
central part of the country is; very little forest just pine plantations. I also having to play the game here of dodge the pot hole, and when I say pot hole I mean 15cm deep. It's amazing how focused you can become on the road 20m in front of you!
